4 Days 3 Nights Hiking North Section of Carros de Foc
What an incredible trip visiting the Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park where we hike the North section of the Carros de Foc.
It’s definitely a trip we will never forget having friends visiting from Scotland & Ireland, a truly unforgettable experience. The people we met in the mountains, so happy to be in nature and form experiences you’ll always remember.

Day 1 on our hiking holiday to Aigüestortes.
Our first day started in the town of Espot where we got a Taxi To Sant Maurici Lake, then it was a short hike to @amitgesrefu for an incredible dinner in the mountains.
Day 2 of our Hiking Trip to Parc Nacional d’Aigüestortes hiking the North route of the Carros de Foc. From Amitges Refuge to Colomers.
Day 3 was from Colomers @refugi.ventosa , which was one of my favourite refuges to sleep. Thanks again @refugi.ventosa !
Day 3 was definitely one of our favorite sections when hiking part of the Carros de foc in the Pyrenees. We did an optional ascent of Mount Montardo at 2833m in elevation, which was definitely worth the effort for the incredible views at the top. Behind us at the top you could see the highest peak in the Pyrenees called Aneto and is 3404m in elevation. One to tackle next year.
